Great bag.

I had my favorite bag stolen on one of my many European trips, some twenty-five years ago. I have been searching for a replacement ever since. This is my fifth bag from WaterField. With the Vitesse Canvas Sling, I finally found it.

Exactly what I needed

This is the bag I’ve been searching for—finally, after years! I was ready to upgrade my Bellroy sling, and after countless YouTube videos, reviews, and deliberation, I settled on this one. It’s got a classic look, great materials and craftsmanship, and a reasonable price point.

The layout gives me more space and easier access compared to a traditional sling, which is a game-changer. And the 'look' of this bag? It just feels like me. I love the vintage vibe and really hope it ages well.

The only downside is that the front strap could be a bit tighter to keep things snug, but that’s a minor gripe. On the bright side, shipping and support were top-notch—it even arrived before the holidays! I’ll most likely be picking up another bag from Waterfield in the future.

Fantastic bag

I love this little bag, which is quickly becoming my most used EDC. The waxed canvas is wonderful, not to mention the elegance of the simple design.

The crew working at SF Bags also do a wonderful job of answering questions while making the whole ordering process seamless.

Perfect little bag

I needed something to put all the crap I would carry in my pockets without having a large bag around my neck. This was perfect: my keys, phone, sunglasses, and few smaller items (pen, cough drops, etc.) all fit without a hitch. I almost forgot I had the bag on. Only my wallet stayed in my pocket. Result- easier to get things, much more comfortable than having all that stuff in my pants and jacket pockets.

HEAVY-DUTY 15 OZ. WAXED CANVAS

Not all waxed canvas bags are created equal. Lower quality bags use 6 oz. canvas. The majority designated as “durable” use 12 oz. canvas. At 15 oz., our waxed canvas exceeds what is commonly sold in the market, yet it's still lightweight. It has a naturally rugged, distressed look and can be re-waxed to freshen it up.

The canvas comes from a reputable U.S. mill that has produced these fabrics since 1930. This specialized textile is coated with Martexin Original Wax™ and shouldn't require much cleaning. Stains can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

HOW TO FRESHEN UP YOUR CANVAS

Keep your bag Vitesse Backpack looking new by applying wax when you think it needs a little refresh. Although you can use any wax, you may want to try Martexin Original Wax™ which was initially used to coat your canvas bag.
