Almost, almost perfect

Love the case, and the design is second to none. Ended up returning it simply because the bulk of its physical size was far more than my slimmer case which I had purchased this to replace. I suppose that's the tradeoff for superior aesthetics. So my point reduced is not really to do with the quality of the product itself, but just a circumstance of it not being exactly what I needed. It's really a beautiful product in hand though.

If I can offer one critique of it though, I wish the buttons snapped easier. The magnets easily catch when you close the flap, but to securely snap the toggles closed, it often takes a second or two of hunting around for their perfect alignment. The case comes with a card that instructs you to move the leather around a bit so that it loosens up and says that in time the snaps will attach easier, but I do question why their placement couldn't have just been sewn exactly right to begin with. But what do I know about leather? Nothing. So take my opinion with a grain of salt. I only wish this one aspect was a little bit improved because it adds a bit of friction to the experience and reduces the overall satisfaction and tactile joy of using it.

This is the ultimate carry case for the SteamDeck!

I have a smaller version of this case for my (Original) Nintendo Switch that I’ve had for years and love. I’m glad this version is available for the SteamDeck again. The system fits well inside even with a dbrand “Kill Switch” grip case attached. This might seem a little expensive, but the quality and craftsmanship is legitimately top tier and premium.
