As far as I can see, I have had Waterfield cases for the last 8 laptops since 2011.

I don't usually leave a review but these cases are about as good as it gets.

Perfect fit, beautifully made - lovely material - really thoughtful design.

Worth every bit of the international postage to the UK. I wouldn't use another bag.

I wanted to give this five stars, but unfortunately cannot, and I even debated removing two stars instead of just one. I do love the sleeve, but it's too tight for my laptop. I have to struggle to slide the laptop in or out. This mars what could be a lovely daily experience of getting the laptop out to begin work, then stashing it away at the end of the session. This would probably not affect a different design, or if measurements are communicated precisely and the bag is crafted on order. But it does sadly matter in my case. Still, the bag is stylish and extremely well crafted, and I do recommend Waterfield, they do quality work.

Marketing for high end laptops is usually geared towards gamers. A lot of these companies assume the people buying them are teenagers and as a result you will end up with a 3,4 grand device that cannot be carried by normal means. These laptops (especially the new pascal chipped ones) can weight 10-15lbs and have a power supply the size of a literal brick to power their internals. They're typically 17-18 inches wide and about a foot deep. The companies that make them may supply or sell backpacks in bright colors that are enormous and difficult to transport around. You're also stuck with just that, a huge backpack for these machines. There are no other options for something this big. I purchased a custom canvas case and it sleek looking and provides padding that is very protective. I did not expect the sleeve case to be that well insulted from shocks and drops. The fact it's custom sized means it meets the needs of such a big machine. The option to transport it horizontally also makes it feasible to travel with in crowded places without having to worry about smashing it into people. The straps are incredibly secure and the weight pulling on them does not seem to over stress them. Also to my surprise, the brick sized power supply fits in the back pocket. it's a tight squeeze but it allows me to move the entire setup when necessary.

I purchased my first laptop sleeve from them back in 2006-ish and I believe they were just getting into the business. I travel a great deal and was looking for something that the TSA would allow me to leave my laptopo in but also provided additional protection when being lugged around the world in my back-pack. Fast forward 10 years and I have bought a sleeve for every lap-top I've owned since then. Most recently I purchased two, one for my lap-top and one for my wife's. Unfortunately I must have screwed up the measurement on my wife's because when it arrived it was too tight and wouldn't fit. Ugh, I was bummed. I emailed Waterfield and "Ken" replied a few minutes later asking me to measure it again. This time I sent photos with the measuring tape wrapped where they told me. They replied the next day saying they had shipped a replacement and a return label for the one that didn't fit! When you have a great product people will buy it...when you couple it with service like that, people will keep coming back! ....and I will! Loyal customer for 10+ years... Shane

Very nice! Fits perfectly. Good craftsmenship. Shipping to Germany took about 10 days.
