The Packable Backpack - another WIN for Waterfield!

I appreciate how lightweight this backpack is and that it doesn't unfold to some wrinkly mess! More importantly, the Waterfield quality has only seem to have gotten better in time! Please continue to create, innovate and wow us with your products. If I may make a suggestion, lightweight and travel-friendly crossbody travel bags with a new or classic Waterfield design would be great! The quality of the bags are truly impressive. Packable Backpack

Very nice in design, super fit and comfort. Getting it into its self packing pocket is a bit of a learning experience but once or twice done, it works! It also just lays quite flat so if you don't want to "pack it", it doesn't take any room, just laying it flat in your carry-on so that you can have a great day pack that's totally perfect for day excursions once you reach your destination! Definite "go to" day bag!

Great Purchase

We went recently to a trip to Spain. We needed a small back pack for hiking and one day trips. The packable backpack was the perfect solution. We were surprised how much we could fit into it. Typically, we packed two rain jackets, hats, large 10x50 binoculars, a purse, wallets, sandwiches and snacks for the trail, personal stuff, trail maps, and a small first aid box. The side water bottle bags, accommodated one liter bottle each. We carried it comfortably for several hours a day. Besides the nice capacity, the backpack looks sturdy, well constructed, and has a beautiful design that will allow me to take it to the office. We did not experienced any rain, and therefore, cannot evaluate the water proofing. When not in use, the bag can be folded in its own pocket, or stored it flat. We loved the backpack and strongly recommended it. We also had an excellent customer service from everyone at Waterfield Designs.

Well-made lightweight day pack

Very comfortable. If I could tweak one thing about the design, I’d prefer the pocket zipper to be horizontal instead of vertical.

This backpack holds more volume than I expected, it’s nice that is packable and I am able to carry gear for a weekend, I would say that is accurate anything beyond 3 days you should consider another bigger backpack. There is very little internal padding for a laptop so I recommend a case for the laptop and iPad if you carry one. Took it for a trip from San Fran to San Diego and I love it

With input from over 1000 customers, we set out to design a packable bag ideal for both travel and every day.

To support multiple uses, we created a custom-made material that combines Taslan — a modern, high-tech woven fabric that feels good and substantial — with a layer of tricot mesh for structure and a water-resistant coating.

This durable, lightweight textile still looks crisp and unwrinkled even after it has been stuffed or folded.

The Packable Backpack squishes down quickly and folds into its own pocket. Weighing less than a pound, it's designed for using in a pinch or for every day.

For extra comfort, you'll find features not found on most packable bag, like a strap lined with moisture-wicking mesh, interior lining, and pockets secured with waterproof zippers.

HOW TO FOLD

1. Lay the Packable Backpack flat and take out the interior pocket.

2. Fold into thirds toward the middle. Be sure to include the straps.

3. Roll from the bottom toward the pocket.

4. Turn the pocket inside out and flip the roll into the pocket.

5. Zip it up and go.
