The Ballistic is great, canvas not so much too heavy

I have a ton of Waterfield products and have never down voted one. Honestly they asked me to write in if I was giving a lower score and I had a 3 or 2 earlier for the canvas version of the bag. But their response was so smug I downvoted it to 1. I actually was part of the community that helped to design this bag (the larger community that does the surveys) and love the bag in ballistic it is far lighter than the canvas one. Now I reluctantly have the canvas one (and these bags are not cheap) but always well made since I used it a few times so I cannot return it).

The bag is great but if you like a lighter weight get the ballistic (they need to disclose the weight differences on the website since they don't really have a return policy to speak of).

I have always loved my SF products, and this is the notable exception. But honestly their smug response to my note (when the review said we will help to make it right) their version of this is apparently being sarcastic to a long-term customer and implying that I don't know what I am talking about. Ah yes I do know its much heavier as you stated in your note and its not prominently noted on the website. "Making it right" means not being sarcastic to a long-term client when they express their concern and feedback. Not a great strategy SF Bags.

Great quality, i like the functionality. The backpack is rather small but still can carry everything necessary and seems to be a perfect personal item for a flight.

Both design and use cases have been well thought through with this backpack; manufacturing quality is great as I have been used to with products from SFbags.
The fact that the backpack works both as an elegant brief as well as a comfortable backpack, especially useful during traveling, makes it an ideal work accessory for me.

USEFUL SIDE POCKETS

Two zippered side pockets provide quick-access to two frequently used items — water bottles and tech gear — without bulging.

The water bottle pocket utilizes interior space so the exterior of the bag remains sleek and professional looking. The zipper closure lets you secure different-sized water bottles — even a 16-oz. Clean Kanteen coffee tumbler.

The opposite side pocket includes interior organization for storing a power pack so you can quickly retrieve it for recharging at an airport, restaurant, or anywhere you need to plug in.
